6th April 2010.The Executive and Staff of AONTAS, the National Adult Learning Organisation, express their deepest sympathy to the Gunning family and husband Dani, on the sad passing of Jennifer Gunning, Information Officer, our good friend and colleague.
Jenny Gunning is the AONTAS Information and Research Officer. Jenny is responsible for the provision of the AONTAS Information Referral Service to learners, groups, adult and community education providers and other relevant agencies. She also develops materials to support learners and most recently she produced the AONTAS Information Booklet which provides a wealth of information to adult learners. As part of her research work Jenny keeps staff informed on new systems, supports, policy issues and key trends arising whilst gathering evidence based research. Jenny carries out research in relation to key policy issues which affect AONTAS within the community & voluntary sector, the business sector and the wider political arena in order to further promote AONTAS and to strengthen the policy and lobbying work of AONTAS. She also provides the Secretariat to the Adult Learner and sits on a number of key advisory boards which include IRAACE and the AEGI Advisory Group.
