Labour Market Activation Measures

Last year the government introduced the Labour Market Activation Measures - a fund which provided almost 12,000 places through 60 training and education initiatives throughout the country. The courses were delivered by providers from the private, statutory and voluntary sector and targeted at people who were unemployed. Many of these courses are now complete.

A new fund targeting skilled people who have been made redundant was announced in May 2011. Springboard is a new multiannual fund which will provide higher education opportunities for people who are unemployed. All applications for Springboard initiatives are processed through Bluebrick.
