AONTAS Consults with Cork Members

24 Oct 2006 10:06 AM

AONTAS was meeting with its voluntary members in Cork because the organisation's current Strategic Plan is coming to an end. "Our current Strategic Plan ends this year," explained Berni Brady, Director of AONTAS. "By consulting with our members throughout the country - including the voluntary groups here in Cork - we hope that our new Strategic Plan will be as reflective as possible of the desires and concerns of the adult and community education sector in Ireland."

"We have already held consultation meetings with our voluntary members in Kerry, Galway and Dublin and we feel these meetings have been really worthwhile in terms of influencing the development of our new Strategic Plan. Today's meeting in Cork has proved to be similarly worthwhile. Overall, this consultation process ensures that the views of all our members from all parts of the country will be reflected in the new AONTAS Strategic Plan."

AONTAS has over 570 members throughout Ireland, including VECs, third level institutions, community education organisations and voluntary groups. The organisation's new Strategic Plan will cover the period 2007-2010.
