Summary

In accordance with commitments given under the 'Programme for Prosperity and Fairness' a review of the National Anti-Poverty Strategy (NAPS) was instituted. The Strategy set out a number of goals to be achieved over a ten year period from 1997 to 2007 under the five key themes of educational disadvantage, income adequacy, unemployment, urban disadvantage and rural poverty. This submission was made to the NAPS.
