SOLAS Training Courses and Community Employment

SOLAS (Seirbhísí Oideachais Leanúnaigh agus Scileanna) will be the new Further Education and Training Authority and will manage, co-ordinate and support the delivery of integrated Further Education and Training by Education and Training Boards. The Education and Training Boards now co-ordinate further education and training formerly organised by the VECs  and FÁS Training Centres.

Courses available include anything from short courses, to specific skills training relevant to particular industries or sectors. Some of the courses provide a training allowance, as well as a contribution towards travel and meals. Your Employment Services Officer will advise you on employment opportunities, training courses and other options which may lead to employment.
