AONTAS is inviting you to take part in an online session to discuss democratic and civic literacy in adult and community education.
This past year, there has been a lot of political change and a rise in community tensions. We have voted in local and European elections, a referendum on women and care, and we will very soon have a General Election. Many adult education organisations are working with communities across Ireland to have their voice heard.
This peer learning event will bring together staff in adult education to discuss how they are increasing civic and democratic literacy in their work. This event will allow you to share what you have been doing and learn from others.
AONTAS have been working to strengthen democratic literacy as partners of the Citizens Xelerator project. The event will showcase project activities and resources that can be used by attendees.
