Are you or your colleagues interested in promoting sustainability and a “just, green transition” with adult learners in your local community?
This includes exploring how adult learners can be well equipped to participate in and adapt to a world shaped by technology and climate change.
We are running a free, one-day workshop where you can learn about the Just4All Project, which provides free, online courses for adult and community education practitioners.
This course workshop is designed to empower educators to use sustainable and inclusive practices through adult and community education.
Practitioners will come away from the course knowing how to educate adult learners on just and green transitions, to give them the knowledge and tools to understand how it impacts their lives, and to empower learners to think critically about climate change and sustainability going forward.
The workshop will provide a space for you to meet like-minded colleagues from across the northwest, share practice, and gain new insights into how adult and community education can help to create a more sustainable and equal Ireland.
Next steps include engaging in discussions with policymakers in relation to the issues covered in this workshop.
Attendance is open to anyone working in community education in the northwest of Ireland. There is no need to have prior experience of working in sustainability education, and all are welcome!
The workshop is on in the Regional Cultural Centre, Port Road, Letterkenny, Donegal, from 11am to 3.30pm.
Lunch and refreshments provided.
