The AONTAS STAR Awards are the culmination of the annual AONTAS Adult Learners' Festival. The Awards recognise inspiring adult, community, and further education initiatives across Ireland.

There are two special prizes, for initatives funded through the European Social Fund and for "Shooting Star" initiatives showing great impact in adult and community education.
The STAR Awards are proudly sponsored by the Open University in Ireland and the Open College Network Northern Ireland (OCN NI), Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), the European Social Fund (ESF), Mental Health Ireland, and Saolta Project. Sponsors offer prizes to all 2025 STAR Award winners.
