What makes learning different, from childhood to later life?
This November, Dr. Leo Casey will deliver an online workshop as part of AONTAS' Imagining Adult Education series.
The purpose is to encourage participants to think about how we learn throughout our lives and what we really mean when we talk about ‘lifelong learning’.
Drawing on the work of educational thinkers, the inter-related questions of ‘how we learn’ and ‘why we learn’ will be examined from the perspective of different life stages.
Workshop participants will be asked to self-reflect and draw on their own experience as a resource to investigate these questions. The session offers an opportunity to appreciate the full meaning and relevance of adult learning for all of us.
Leo is the Director of the Centre for Lifelong Learning at National College of Ireland. He is a committed educator and advocate for lifelong learning. He believes that education is a core human value as it gives meaning to our lives.
Join us online on Friday, 11th November. Places are limited and early registration is advised.
