Come along to a webinar for an hour on Friday 7th February at 11am and learn about all the latest in supporting adult learners with lower levels of literacy to progress to qualifications.
The information we will be sharing is based on findings from an European project we were recently involved in called "PartnerUP", which looked at ways adults could gain new skills across Europe.
The project was driven by the recognition that many people across Europe still lack core skills such as literacy and numeracy. It looked at helping people gain literacy, numeracy, and digital skills so they could have equal opportunities to participate in our society.
It also focused on the holistic assessment of people's needs, taking in all of their experience and context as a learner and human being, and recognition of prior learning (RPL) beyond formal education. The approach our European colleagues use is called "Upskilling Pathways", which is learner-centred and supports people's progression to further learning or jobs through tailored programmes that are suitable to people's needs.
