More about the Adult Learners’ Festival 2023

“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself”

Learn something new. Bring others with you. Find new friendships. Create your world.

At the AONTAS Adult Learners' Festival, we celebrate learning! This week-long festival happens every year in March, and we bring people together from all over Ireland.

What’s Happening?

We’re hosting two major events in Dublin during this week, kicking off on the morning of Monday 6th March with “Stepping Stones and Stable Roots: The Versatile and Enduring Strength of Community Education”, bringing together educators, adult learners, and policy-makers to discuss the unique value of community education in Ireland and its relationship to the new Unified Tertiary Education System. This event is open to everyone. Click here for more information about "Stepping Stones and Stable Roots".

Our second major event is the AONTAS STAR Awards, the grand finale of the festival on Friday 10th March. The STAR Awards celebrates and recognises the very best in adult, community, and further education across Ireland, and raises awareness of the fantastic work by education providers which is making a real difference to people’s lives. Due to limited venue capacity, this event is by invitation only, but we'll be sharing all about it on our website and social media. Click here to learn more about the STAR Awards.

So let’s get curious, talk to each other, try something different, embrace your creative side. Everyone is welcome. Create your world.
