2019 marks 50 years of AONTAS and as part of this collective celebration this year’s AONTAS Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place in the Ashling Hotel, Parkgate St, Dublin 8 on Wednesday, 22nd May at 10.00am – 1.30pm. Members' engagement in the meeting is important as we require AONTAS members to:
1. Adopt the New AONTAS Strategic Plan
AONTAS is striving to become a leading non-governmental organisation advocating for the rights of all adults to learning. Our new Strategic Plan (2019-2022) will provide clear direction for the organisation over the coming years. Through your active engagement in the consultation process we are finalising the development of a robust plan that will allow us to collectively promote and advocate for adult learning as a strong, vibrant, professional and authentic organisation. We ask you to attend the AGM in order to formally adopt the new plan.
2. Participate in the AONTAS Board of Directors Elections
We encourage AONTAS members to seek a position on the AONTAS Board of Directors (Board). In our commitment to good governance the Board seeks members who meet the criteria outlined in the documentation below. Given the available Board vacancies, please note nominations are sought for:

Please return completed nomination forms to the Company Secretary by Monday, 22nd April at 5pm. You can do this by emailing a scanned copy of the signed form to mail@aontas.com, or mailing a copy of the signed form to AONTAS, 2nd Floor, 83-87 Main Street, Ranelagh, Dublin 6.
