The Reach Fund, formerly the Mitigating Against Educational Disadvantage Fund (MAEDF), is open for applications.
The fund is administered by the 16 Education and Training Boards across Ireland.
This fund is targetted towards eligible community education projects and initiatives that support adult learners who might face barriers to accessing and participating in education and lifelong learning.
Community education providers can apply for funding across several categories. According to SOLAS, the priority is to provide support to the most vulnerable groups in our society, including “the long-term unemployed, young people, people with disabilities, members of the Traveller and Roma communities, migrants and refugees, women wishing to return to the labour market, and lone parents.”
Different Education and Training Boards have different deadlines for applications for the Reach Fund, so check with your local ETB on what the deadline is in your area.
