Join us this November at the Aviva Stadium for our biggest event of the year: A Window to the World: AONTAS Adult Education Summit 2023
On Wednesday 15th November, we’ll welcome adult learners, educators and anyone with an interest in adult education to join us and experience new insights and perspectives on adult and community education in Ireland and across Europe.
We’ll share the results of our cutting-edge, evidence-based research into people’s experiences of learning in Further Education and Training across Ireland. What’s working well? What needs to be better? What can we collectively do to make that happen?
A Window to the World also marks the end of the most recent programme for adult learning in Europe, the New European Agenda for Adult Learning (NEAAL), which centred on helping the sector recover after the COVID-19 pandemic. It focussed on tackling inequality in education across Europe. In Ireland and for AONTAS, that included our recent “Learners As Leaders” programmes – Creativity Takes Courage and Together in the Telling – as well as our One Step Up service for people thinking about going back to education. This November, we will explore the results of this programme, and think about how to make its impact even greater.
It will be a day to get together, chat, and discuss new ideas and approaches to adult learning. We will also be celebrating the fantastic work of our members, who change people’s lives every day through offering all different kinds of learning in local communities across the island of Ireland.
Registration for A Window to the World: AONTAS Adult Education Summit 2023 will open in the coming weeks. For now, please save the date!
