AONTAS Adult Learners’ Festival 2022 - #LearnYourWay

About the Festival

The 2022 AONTAS Adult Learners’ Festival will be a nationwide campaign aimed at strengthening the value and visibility of the adult learning sector with a wide-ranging audience of learners/prospective learners, communities, organisations and the media.

Over the past sixteen years the Festival has provided us with a platform to showcase the range of adult learning opportunities available across the country and encourage adults to try something new. The impact of COVID-19 has resulted in a drop in some forms of adult learning (especially Levels 1-3), with this in mind the Festival aim to encourage people to explore learning options within their local communities.

We know that recruitment is a priority for adult and community education providers as we begin to return to normal after the pandemic. This year’s theme is Learn Your Way - we want prospective learners to know that you can #LearnYourWay in your local community.

Host your own Event

We encourage you to host an event during the Festival too. Maybe you would like to organise a "taster session" or "open day" event that showcases your organisation's work or the courses available. Alternatively, you may like to invite your learners to attend a virtual coffee/tea morning. Ideas for organising an event are available in our soon to be released Communications Toolkit. You can submit your online events to the One Step Up calendar (events must be free of charge). We will also be using the One Step Up platform to share events taking place as part of the Adult Learners' Festival 2022.
