Working with our European colleagues means we can better advocate for adult learning here in Ireland. We're stronger together.
We're collaborating to make a difference in global challenges, like climate change and sustainability, the digital divide, and threats to democracy.
European projects also offer great opportunities for capacity-building, sharing best practice, developing resources, and training for AONTAS members across Ireland.
We'll keep fighting for the right of all adults to access quality lifelong learning.

A prime example is the Learners As Leaders programme, funded under the New European Agenda for Adult Learning (NEAAL).
Here, learners develop skills in areas like critical thinking, communication, and creative problem-solving. They learn how to advocate for themselves and others with similar experiences.

AONTAS is a partner in the Erasmus+ Tale project, coordinated by the Finnish Lifelong Learning Foundation. The project will help adult learning and education organisations to use transformative learning to further green transition and help upscale the innovative practices of grassroots initiatives.
