About the Community Engagement Praxis for Research in the Arts and Humanities (CEPRAH) Project

In 2021, the Trinity Long Room Hub and AONTAS, Ireland’s National Adult Learning Organisation, launched a new project entitled Community Engagement Praxis for Research in the Arts and Humanities (CEPRAH).

CEPRAH is funded by an Irish Research Council New Foundations Grant (Strand 1a). The project aims to improve collaboration between the Arts and Humanities and civic and community organisations.

About this Event

The CEPRAH Virtual Café will bring together Arts and Humanities researchers and practitioners working in civic society and community organisations to share knowledge and identify practical methods and pathways to improve collaboration.

The event will begin with a brief introduction to the CEPRAH project and talks by three individuals already working in this area.

This will be followed by a series of breakrooms where participants from both the Arts and Humanities and the civic and community sector will explore a set challenge and design a possible solution.

Ideas and feedback during the event will help shape and enhance the quality of engagement and encourage future challenge-based cross-sectoral research projects.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals working in fields relevant to democracy in its broadest sense, encompassing both cultures and values as well systems and structures. This would include, for example, working with vulnerable and marginalised groups or exploring questions around identity, inclusion, pluralism and tolerance.

If you have any questions or access requirements, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

**Registration is essential for this event and it is open to all.**

 Project Survey

As part of the project CERPAH are conducting a survey with Civic Society and Community Organisations (CSO) and Arts and Humanities researchers. You can complete the survey here.

This survey is part of the scoping exercise. The results of the survey will be anonymised with any personal identifiers removed. Responses will be used to inform the following aspects of the CEPRAH project portfolio:
