Join the AONTAS Board

AONTAS is seeking committed and passionate individuals to join our Board and help shape the future of adult learning in Ireland. Serving on the Board is an opportunity to contribute your expertise, support good governance, and play a key role in advancing our mission of promoting adult learning and building a more equal and socially just Ireland.

As part of this year’s AGM, elections will take place for three Board positions:

  • 2 positions in the Adult Learner category
  • 1 position in the Organisational Member (General) category

Below you will find an overview of Board roles and responsibilities to support those interested in being nominated.

Nominate an Adult Learner

Passionate about adult learning? Nominate yourself or another learner who has engaged in formal or non-formal learning within the past three years. Ideal candidates will value and promote the benefits of adult learning, with experience in learner representation an advantage. Support is provided to successful nominees stepping into a Board role.

Nominate an Organisational Member (General)

Nominate a paid-up AONTAS organisational member (non-Community Education) to represent the sector and contribute to the governance and direction of AONTAS.
