Building on the recommendations at the Community Education Network (CEN) meeting in June, AONTAS is holding a CEN information and training session on “Ensuring the voice of community education is heard at local and regional levels”. All members of the CEN are welcome to attend. The session will cover the following:
- Local government structures of relevance to community education
- Challenges and opportunities for raising the voice of community education at local and regional levels – making it work for your organisation
- Case studies – challenges and successes
- Available resources
- What you can do in your local area to ensure that community education is recognised
