Everyone working or involved in the adult and community education sector across the island of Ireland is invited to join us for our biggest event of the year!
It will be a day-long event, packed with all the latest in adult learning from Ireland and across Europe. There will be something for everyone, including education providers, adult learners, and policymakers.
We have an exciting selection of four simultaneous workshops on offer on the day.

One workshop will focus on Listening to Learners’ Voices Across Ireland and look at challenges and solutions for FET learners. Directed primarily at Education and Training Board staff, attendees can learn from experts about how to better support learners in your own work.
Another interactive workshop will look at Learner Voice as a Catalyst for Change, exploring the importance of Learner Voice in shaping the future of adult education. It will look at strategies and approaches for ensuring that learners’ voices are not only heard but actively considered and integrated into decision-making processes, with new insights from our Learners as Leaders programme.
Another workshop will look at Adult Learning and the Sustainable Development Goals and consider how adult and community education providers can contribute. The SDGs are an urgent call by all countries to come together in global partnership for collective action on inequality and climate change. AONTAS are an appointed SDG Champion with a particular focus on Goal 4, ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Participants will learn about the benefits of starting an SDG programme with adult learners.
And finally, we will have a workshop on Creative Arts and Adult Learning, exploring the benefits of creative arts methodologies for learners, how to facilitate engagement and creativity in class, and where to find resources for adult learning practitioners. Participants will learn practical tools for setting up and facilitating a creative arts class.
